Just a light-hearted discussion post (that I do have some strong feelings about xD) that I find myself needing. To us ARMY, all seven members are adorable and have their cute moments. They all have called each other cute countless number of times. We also know that the maknae line, being the youngest of the group, are incredibly adored by their hyungs and doted upon. With that said, if asked to choose, who do you think each member would pick as the one that they find the cutest within the group? Please comment your choices below, and build your case (with cute examples if possible). I’ll start first.
1) **Hobi** —> *Yoongi*. Without a question. I won’t lie, it’s this thought that prompted me to start this discussion in the first place xD I have watched endless hours of bangtan content over the years, and this is what has always stood out to me. Yoongi, fierce rapper, acclaimed producer and second eldest, so often misperceived to be cold and indifferent. But all these years, Hobi has only ever seen [him as cute](https://youtu.be/xehCGX_3VHw?si=jRJtX8ZJVsjmGADg&t=2m31s) and [adorable even when he’s whining](https://youtu.be/c1mXPOfXjJc?si=DHxMhcLm_-XotNrW&t=6m8s). If you ask him to describe Yoongi with one word, there’s a 99% chance it’ll be “cute”. In one of their Japanese interviews when they were asked to guess who had been voted the cutest, everyone else mentioned a maknae line member but of course Hobi went “Isn’t it Yoongi hyung?”. I can’t link it here because of sub rules, but if you look up “Hobi calling Yoongi cute” on Twitter/X, you’ll find the most precious compilation ever. He’s always so endeared by his hyung and I just find it so wholesome. And Yoongi looking bashful every time is the most precious thing.

2) **Tae** —> *Namjoon*. Is this a surprising choice? If you look at Tae and Joon’s interactions closely, it won’t be. I adore how Joon is the leader, spokesperson, an intelligent and incredibly handsome 181 cm elegant man, but Tae insists on babying him every chance he gets (or when Joon allows him to hahah). He serenades him passionately with trot, wants to “pat pat” his head, give him forehead kisses and [enjoys teasing him](https://youtu.be/CfWlBmpN4sM?si=4rKih5bDd3HOdWlm). With these two, the reverse is often true as well with Joon openly endeared by Tae often. I especially love this pairing so much because Joon is often hesitant and awkward about expressing affection, but Tae doesn’t care one bit and is always outwardly affectionate with him.

I watched an older yoongi vlive last night and almost forgot it was basically an hour long staring contest dealing this adorable man, lol. I agree with Hobi thinking he is just too cute.

Namjoon -> Jimin 100% (he’s just the cutest…as he said recently) or Hobi…based solely on the fact that I just rewatched the Magic Shop muster and Namjoon called Hobi cute about 10times 🤗🥹
Yoongi -> I know JK is his baby. However, I also remember him describing Jimin as small and cute.
Jin -> Yoongi, his human vitamin.
Tae -> I think you’re right he thinks it’s Namjoon, and he wants to pat his head!! 🥹
Jimin -> JK and / or Hobi
Although the true answer is that they all make all of their hearts squeal from cuteness! Just like all of them make our Army hearts do the same 🥹🤗💜
Namjoon —-> Jimin
It’s not even that, you know, he just came out and said it. It’s not even, you know, that he remembers cute things with Jimin long after Jimin’s forgotten them – see “the yellow card incident.” It’s that we’ve seen Joon’s face when he held the cutest puppy ever, and that face is the same one he gets around Jimin. Also the constant desire to pinch his cheeks, which, highly relatable there, Joon.
Jimin —-> Taehyung
Call it soulmate styling or the softness of being a fave, but Jimin always comes across as endlessly endeared by Tae. He adores his friend at his goofiest, just heart eyes all around.
Jin —-> ?? I have never seen Jin call anyone cute. My gauntlet is thrown, come *prove me wrong!*
Going by memory, this is strictly about cuteness

**Jimin** —> *JK*. [Jimin has talked about JK being cute since debut](https://youtu.be/AQMbARiDhYw?si=lXuyHiw2m-atKI6u) and by god he will hard-carry this cause to his grave. He constantly points out how cute JK is, even calling it his best feature (being maknae=cute) when they talked about that in [festa 2020](https://youtu.be/t9zPnWQIiuw?si=gUAPMM3g2x2h7NN8) (33:02).
**Yoongi** —> *Jimin*. I think Yoongi is leading a life living with severe cute aggression because he thinks Jimin is adorable but he has to (crush) tease him and be after him all the time. The Yoonmin bickering is strong, and they support each other as much as they neg at each other.
**Hobi** —> *Yoongi*. I agree with your argument! I also think Hobi is one of the only people who can call Yoongi cute to his face like that. Maybe aside from Seokjin, but that’s hyung privilege.
**Tae** —> *Joon*. I also agree here. The way Tae can get away with making Joon receive headpats or serenading at him or making him unwitting audience to impromptu singing performances and in general, as you say, baby a tall intense slightly physical-affection-related-awkward Joon is beautiful.
**Joon** —> *Jimin*. Honestly this is a no brainer. He sometimes [looks at Jimin](https://youtube.com/shorts/_8fRsMQCY98?si=wsw-fwf2PoJP2rvT) like he wants to put him in his pocket. His love of small cute things has him coveting Jimins tiny but fierce presence. He has given him so many compliments over the years. Also YELLOW CARD YELLOW CARD 🟨
**JK** —> *Jimin* or *Yoongi* or maybe even *Seokjin*? Honestly I could argue for all of them. I think he honestly thinks Jimin is cute but he loves to tease him so much too, so he expresses that even more. And JK loves to subvert the system and treat his hyungs in ways he probably wouldn’t have gotten away with if they were anyone else. He especially takes advantage of the “sugahyung will never scold me” get out jail free card he has to point out Yoongi being cute. And with Seokjin it seems it could also just be cute aggression driving him to always mess with his mathyung because when Seokjin is being cute JK always has this adoring look in his eyes and that pleased nose scrunch.
**Seokjin** —> *JK*. I think this must be the answer. Seokjin dotes on this guy so much, it’s insane. Like he is his baby. All the play fighting and giving him basically anything he asks for.. someone is wrapped around someones finger here.
I honestly think Hobi is too powerful to be inherently cute. He can put on an aegyo show like a pro but he isn’t naturally cute in his everyday life I think. He likes cute things but he is so self possessed he doesn’t even slip into [accidental-embarrassed-cute like Joon does](https://youtu.be/8lgarVtHSPU?si=IioeICDkT_1z895f) (is also an example of Tae pushing Joon to live out his cute potential)
And Seokjin also brings the aegyo game, and I think they think he is cute sometimes, but maybe not the most cute … i dunno..
And Tae is maybe also just too powerful 😂😅 he can turn it on, but he is somehow most often the one babying others, and even when they are babying him he is so relaxed in receiving what we can only assume he expects as his due diligence of adoration from his bandmates.
Edit: I see a difference between performance-aegyo-cute and receiving compliments for that and inherent/everyday life cuteness.
