I’m not feeling as sad about this as I thought I would. I think it’s because since he’ll be doing public service, he’ll be able to go home at night, have a more regular 9-6 schedule, and he’ll be able to work on his music still. I’m not as worried about him, but I’m still going to miss him a ton.

Yoongi, the MVP of Chapter 2. I wouldn’t be surprised if he pushed for the announcement of the re-signing before he left for service himself. He is the epitome of making a promise, and doubling down on keeping it.

I’m hoping that this period of living a ‘normal ‘ life will be interesting and relaxing for him. Doing just a 40 hour week will be something he hasn’t experienced for a very long time. Really glad he gets to live at home and though I guess he can’t collaborate or work with any other producers or artists during this time at least he can write music on his own at the weekends etc if he gets the creative urge. Assuming all the others do active service I can see our Yoongles being the team rock that is always available (in the evenings) whenever one of them has a leave day, which should be very comforting for them. Stay healthy and happy our much loved kitty!
