BTS ‘ARIRANG’ TOUR in Goyang Megathread – Day 2 (In Person, Livestream, and Live Viewing)

I had a question about the VCR (which btw I love how it’s a projection on the actual stage or a part of the audience and not just a video playing on screen). I believe in the first VCR they showed each member and associated them to an element in nature but I couldn’t recollect what each member’s element was. I remember seeing Joon/Tae at the start and one had sand and the other was lightning/electricity? Then Jungkook with fire, Jimin with water, Yoongi with what I am deciphering to be the “negative space” or the ether? Hobi was warm light and refractions so we saw tiny rainbows, and Jin was what I first instinctively shouted “ANGEL” but it looked like glints of white light or just “air”? If someone did a better job figuring this out, please let me know!

I also loved the tree in the second VCR, they projected it on the army in the audience and it looked like the roots entangled and growing into a giant tree. My first thought was “rooted in Korea, Arirang” but then I wondered what else it could mean.

I’m generally very intrigued by all the artistic choices they have made during this album and tour. We have not been able to hear their take on everything and they are leaving it for us to interpret, which I love, but I really want them to talk about these things at some point so we can understand the intentions better.

i couldnt watch day 2 but was wondering did they ever go down those long extended stage that goes to the corners since there was no rain?

Whoever is responsible for their outfits during this comeback deserves a raise. I was watching the concert in the cinema today, and I was astonished again by all their outfits that they were wearing.

I watched this today in the cinema, I loved it! I think it was such a cool thing to have the cameras showing the audience getting ready and excited for the show to start, made it feel like we were actually there instead of the concert just starting. I definitely think I’ll be going back to watch the concert live from Japan!

Also shoutout to the nice girl who went around giving everyone lollipops with a picture of Jin on them, that was so sweet, made my day for sure!

Just leaving the theater. This was great. The theater here in Houston (Woodlands) was not too lively, but I met some lovely Armies and gave some freebies.

I love this show and can’t wait to see it in El Paso! Pony tail Jimin is amazing! All of them completely rock. (jiiiiiin!) I loved the set list. It was great without the rain, but the rain was ok also. I was worried they would slip when it was raining, though. So today was better.

Question: They MUST have gone over Take 2 and DNA, but it was like karaoke and they even said BTS karaoke! Do you think they are really surprised when a song comes up in this segment?

Anyway, just Love Love Love it all. Esp Into the Sun. Mic Drop. B2B. Normal. Ok. All of it.

I’m feeling better that we’re not alone at our theater not getting the live viewing yet. But we’ll see how we still get the whole show. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just got back from the theatre and I’m still so hyped, lol. I loved every minute of it. I even got my first freebie!

I loved the set list, FYA/Fire was my favourite. The vocals were amazing and they all looked so good as well. Their stage presence is just amazing and you can tell how much they love to perform together. I was tempted to buy a ticket for the next showing but I had to get home to feed my cat.

Can’t wait to see them in Toronto!

my live viewing just got cancelled WELP

So our showing sounds like it was possessed by something

Thanks to the sweet ARMYs at my theater for hanging out for an hr before Regal cancelled the showing and told us we could get a refund 🥲

have been sitting here in ohio at marcus for over two hours… I think we’re about to call it 😭 they said they just have the stream up and if it works great, but I don’t think they’re actively trying anymore since it’s just like three of us that decided to tough it out LMAOOOOO. we’re in hell 😭

Well, it started over a hour late and we missed the first set, the. After merry go round the sound was out of sync for the rest of the time. It was really disappointing but glad I got to see it.

Emagine Theater in Michigan — about 30min in, it cut to a wrestling match and was stuck on there for probably an hour. Staff came in before the stream came back and said unless tickets were bought in person, they couldn’t refund them. They gave us a movie voucher that would let us go into any other movie for free, but this isn’t quite comparable because the BTS movie ticket is basically double a normal movie ticket.

I contacted fandango support to request a refund since the product that was purchased wasn’t delivered. I’ll see if they refund it— if not I’ll dispute it on my card. I have video evidence of the wrestling match so we’ll see.

Super frustrating. Also, the sound quality and film quality were overall super subpar. Still had fun overall, but a very strange and disappointing experience.

I just got back from the theater. At the end there was a message that there will be a live viewing of the Jun 13 concert. BTS is making me go to the cinema more than actual movies.
