The quiet, relaxed confidence on yesterday’s stage just showed what a long way he’s come from releasing the first solo work of chapter 2

My favorite album of 2022 & 2023 both ep and special album

My life was changed when those first concept photos dropped! I’ve told the story on this sub before but I loved one of them so much that I tipsly ordered a poster sized version of it from the Walgreens app at like 10 PM. I picked it up the next day after work dressed in my best business casual fit, poster completely showing. I don’t think I was the person they were expecting to be picking that order up! As a former scene kid (and still an adult emo) punk rock Jay, you will always hold a special place in my heart.

  4. I remember scrambling with my friends to remember all the lyrics before we went to Lollapalooza. This is his best project by far ❤️!!

What an INSANE official debut. Hobi going first on Chapter 2 releases could have been intimidating but he swung hard and heavy and hit it out of the park.

I have no critiques really at all. The singles hit, the exploration of and expansion of his solo identity hit, the visuals and Jack in the box theming hit. His lollapalooza performance and solo performance at MAMA were insane.

Jhope is just a consummate performer and a master at his craft.

My favorites off the album are still arson, more and what if but man this is an insane entry in a wildly successful solo career for Hobi.

All that’s left for me to wonder and anticipate is how he incorporates this new expanded version of his Jhope persona into their ot7 music.

  6. Oh time is going by too fast. What an incredible time that album release was. If I had a time machine I’d love to live through it again (and figure out how to get to Lolla this time).

  7. All the solo releases and albums are dear to me but JITB and D-Day are the ones I love and listen to the most. Thank you, Hobi! 💜
