Ope I don’t think this one is for me. I liked the little techno sounds in the background because it reminded me of playing games on my gameboy growing up and it also reminded me a bit of those pop punk bands in the early 2000s in that first verse with his singing style…but that chorus is tough to get past. It is not my favorite and really grating to the ear. Maybe it’ll be like All Night and grow on me, but for now I think this one is a skip.
The lyrics are precious. I’m also a bit relieved it’s a fast pace song. I was fully prepared for a slow tempo song

The lyrics are so sweet! His love for us is so unconditional 🥰 My only minor gripe was the redundancy of the “never let go” part. I know it’s a tiktok trend to have excessively repetitive lyrics, but I can’t get past this trend in any song 😭

I love that he made a bop! I feel like edm might be one of his favourite genres when he’s creating music because he does it well but I do wish he’d gone with a different chorus because it’s a little repetitive for a relatively short song 🫠

Already expected an upbeat track because of the song credits. Melanie Fontana has a very distinct song structure especially with the recent BTS releases (I wonder, Equal Sign), funky beat, minimalist verse, catchy hook, short running time. I wasn’t expecting it to go house/EDM though! It feels like a callback to JK’s older solos.
It’s not particularly my cup of tea. Repetitive hooks don’t stay for long in my playlists. But I’m grateful for his little gift to us. Hopefully we get the performance he wanted to show next year when he comes back!
I see the different opinions about the repetitive chorus and for me, the chorus is what seals the deal haha 😅 I love a good challenge to remember the amount of *never let gyo gyo gyos* there are. This is the kind of easy listen I look for my commute 😁
