The ethos of *D-DAY* is not that this journey is an easy one, but that the messy work of cultivating inner peace is ultimately worth it — and by the end of the record, the listener can’t help but believe SUGA when he says that the future’s gonna be okay.
I love to see D-Day getting its flowers.

Finally, a EOY best of list that actually had quite a few artists I listen to.

I’ve been checking out the best of year end lists the last week to see if any of the guys made them and I really love seeing them on these lists. I’m so proud of all of them and they all have worked so hard.
Now, D-Day is my favorite album of the year so it makes me extra excited to see it on these lists. And Consequence’s write up is really nice!
Yes, D-Day love! I like the write up too. D-Day is so accomplished it deserves to make all of these lists in my books. But I can understand why Layover is getting a few more mentions (edit, I mixed this up, see below). I adore Layover. But it’s a much more easy entry album, anyone can pick it up and vibe to any time of the day.
D-Day asks the listener to do more work to appreciate it, I think. To follow an emotional plot line. And multiple musical styles. To confront pain. It’s not making it an easy listen for you (like the journey she mentions). But it is a rewarding one. Even more reason it’s great that it’s resonating in this list.
D-Day is that girl.
