Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to get your opinions on these two things.
First, how long do you think the tour will actually last? Although there are only dates confirmed until March, it’s obvious they’ll want to end the tour with the final shows in their beloved Korea. However, there are rumors about adding more dates in America and maybe even Europe in 2027, which would extend the tour significantly. From your perspective (and I’m sure many people will know better than i how Hybe and BTS handle these things), when do you think the tour will end? June? September? December? 2028? Personally, a two-year tour feels 'strange' to me (even after Namjoon mentioned they might release some singles along the way) I dont know, extending a Tour that much without a new album is a bit weird for me, and makes me think if that would work., tough, i wouldn't complain about having another chance to buy tickets to see them in 2027! 😛
Anyway, my second question: do you think Hybe will do a physical release featuring photos, 'making-of' content, and full concerts from the tour? It’s very likely they will (Jin already has one for his last tour), but how do you think they’ll do it? Will DVDs/Blu-rays make a comeback because of how significant this return is? Will there be different versions (Essential, Deluxe)?
Personally, I doubt they’d miss the chance to sell more 'premium' versions, especially since Arirang is a comeback almost four years in the making. However, I’m very skeptical about them selling DVD or Blu-ray versions again. Hybe doesn't seem interested in physical formats for this type of content anymore; they know they’ll make more money through Weverse subscriptions to see the VODs offline.
Regardless, I might be a bit dumb and definitely the target audience here, because I’m already planning to save up for whenever that Tour Repack drops. 🧍♂️ Anyway, I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts or opinions on this. Have a great day!
