Ooh. Will definitely try to check this out. I’ve been following him on Twitter ever since I learned he was the English translator and I’ve become quite a fan.
Hope someone who has an IG account (alas, I do not and will not have one) might be inclined to watch and record to share later, or at least report back on what was talked about 😀
Very cool! I’ve been a big admirer of his for a while now, he’s translated a lot of excellent Korean literary fiction.

Edit – OMG they only had a month to translate the book and did not know who the book was for prior to agreeing to do the translation.
This interview is well worth the time. Anton tells about the whole process of how he came to do this translation and his approach to *Beyond the Story*, his background and more. The interviewer does a nice job and asks some good questions.
I have heard that the book is rather blunt/direct in its presentation. (I do not have my copy of the book yet, so I am only able to repeat what others have said.) Anton explains that for the translations of the members’ words, they were very strict, using the words of the guys and not changing them or the order much, if at all, so as to preserve what the members actually said. He also mentions how strict the rules were for the lyrics that are in the book. His explanation is much better than my quick summary.
Anton avoids giving spoilers, but he still conveys meaning. Just from listening to him, I feel that this project was special to him and that he did a careful job of it. So looking forward to reading my copy! Hurry, mail, hurry!
