Just listened to this podcast about BTS, and it was interesting to have an outside/journalistic view about their vulnerability and nerves being performative and calculated. I think most ARMY would vehemently protest that. Also surprised to hear Hybe’s stock has dropped because of lower turnout than expected – is that true? Thought all concerts were sold out everywhere?
Anyway just curious if any of you have listened and what you think.

Thanks for sharing, I will listen to it now
Based on the comments date, I guess this episode was released after their Netflix live. Not only Hybe, all other Korean ent. companies shares were down then as well. I am sure we all remember the war in the middle east. But, media does what media does best. Sensationalism sells. Guess the podcasters were saying the same.
Haven’t listened to the podcast. The comments about the episode and the hosts insufficient understanding of kpop and it’s surrounding, are negative. So, I am not really inclined to listen to it. Since you have, what did you think about it?
**Yes, The concerts are all SOLD-OUT.**
HYBE Corporation announced its Q1 2026 earnings on April 29, 2026, setting a new record for the **highest first-quarter revenue in company history, driven largely by the comeback of BTS.**

> their vulnerability and nerves being performative and calculated
So manufactured, these little asian robots. Every move and emotion is dictated to them by their evil overlord company. Dance monkey, dance.
… That’s the racist narrative behind stuff like this.
> Hybe’s stock has dropped because of lower turnout than expected
Not this again. They had a 104k turnout for their comeback live, with all of the 22k free tickets “sold out” at a frankly horrible venue I wouldn’t have gone to even if I’d been close. Can we please keep the anti rhetorics on the kpop/snark subs? They had a massive turnout. Stocks dropped everywhere because of the war in the ME.
Their stadium tour sold out almost everywhere except El Paso and Foxborough. They’re about to set records with this tour
