I'm a returning BTS fan. Used to watch most videos they put out from 2016-2022. I guess I forgot how badly parasocial many people are toward them. I clicked on only two pictures on Weverse; one with Tae and one with Jungkook. Noped out of any comments after that.

It felt, I dunno, disturbing to me? If I saw someone convinced they're in love with me and that I'd immediately return the feelings, I'd run the other way. Honestly feel bad for the members.

What are your thoughts on some of the community being so openly parasocial? What are your thoughts on parasocial relationships in general?
