I love tiny desk. I was just getting into BTS when I watched BTS’ tiny desk appearance and i was totally blown away by how good they sounded live. Can’t wait to watch Tae in this. It will showcase his awesome voice 🥰

Interesting. I didn’t realized they licensed tiny desk. I have always loved the series. I feel like tiny desk plays a really unique role in the American music scene. They have popular artists on there, but also indie and more cultural (don’t quite know the right word) artists as well. It’s also very global. I have heard such a wide-range of music from them. I respect it a lot. It really seeks to expose and broaden its audience to new musical horizons.
It will be interesting to see how and where they take this. I wonder if this LG U+ will be able to keep to the same sensibilities. Also, I didn’t realize tiny desk was as popular in Korea as it is in here, although I’m not sure if “popular” is the right word to use to describe tiny desk in the states. Some of the artists brought to tiny desk are complete unknowns. I always thought tiny desk is able to pull it off because they don’t always have to appeal to the masses. They are public broadcasting and funded by donors who love them. Honestly, I feel tiny desk is something yoongi would like, given his interest in traditional cultural music combined with modern beats.
Btw, none of this is a diss or skepticism. I’m simply curious in the Korean market for this and the direction this will go. The possibilities are very cool and interesting. I hope it will succeed. Like I said, tiny desk holds a very respected place in my mind and heart. When BTS kicked ass during their tiny desk concert, I knew I loved them. I was blown away. I hope Koreans will also be blown away by what tiny desk offers.

If anything, I really like that Taes doing the Korea version because it’ll take the pressure off him from making small talk and Intros and such in English. not that you’d have to on the NPR version but I feel like this will be so much more relaxing for him
