It was fitting to have this iconic group of superstars in the world renowned space. And very special for a group of ARMY who were able to be part of this performance as the audience in the spiraling architecture of the museum, watching from above.
This portrait was made just after the performance was filmed. I wanted to frame the seven members in the context of the signature architecture and also include cheering ARMY in this photo. I feel like it was perfect to include both the group and their fans in this special moment.
This early morning taping was the first thing the group did in a very long day. I’d only photographed individual members before this – their last appearance on the Tonight Show was before I joined the show. So it was especially great to see all the members together, smiling and taking in the experience in this unique space.
