Eeeeeeee. I can’t with them.

this is so cute and i absolutely don’t want to bring needless negativity here, just want to see if anyone else is feeling similar – i don’t know if it’s the state of the world right now or what but i’m feeling a tiny bit… off? low? that everything to do with this album so far has been through partnering with giant billion dollar corporations, like netflix, spotify, google etc. obviously kpop is a complete microcosm for capitalism and this is very fork found in kitchen, and i can see why they wouldn’t necessarily want to do a typical kpop rollout for their massive comeback album, but it’s all just felt a little impersonal so far (at least in my opinion).

i’m struggling to articulate this well and there’s absolutely still time for them to release concept photos and album trailers and everything, it’s just that everything SO FAR has been a netflix ad or spotify promo or google. i know they’re so much bigger than standard kpop procedures now, i just find myself missing things dropping on weverse at 12am KST from the company itself. it all just feels kind of corporate right now.

i’d especially love a comeback trailer (basically a pre-release music video of the intro song) like they’ve had for every single album since debut.

so sorry to sound negative and i hope this isn’t seen as needless critique, i’m just a bit jaded by constant corporate ads and messaging in every single aspect of my life and was hoping to just focus on bts and the music lol

Netflix is also hosting a Harry Styles concert. It seems they are adding to their offerings. It’s before BTS, so an opportunity for them to test the set up.

Edit: adding I love the daily “commercials” we are getting for the comeback show. This is so cute
