For starters, BTS said that it's gonna be released in spring next year. The recording process will start in America because they're following Jin touring schedule and will accompany him to each stop. Suga mentioned that the new album is in a style they didn't try before, and Jungkook said that they're going back to the basics, though we don't know the specific context behind both of their comments.

Apparently, someone in the comments mentioned House of Cards while they were talking about the album, the conversation went like this:

🐯house of cards?

🐿wow house of cards..

🐹house of cards.. it’s been over 10 years right?

🐥that’s something i didn’t even expect to be brought up..

🐯it’s been a really long time right?

🐿is there anyone who knows house of cards?

🐨house of cards is famous

🐰but we didn’t perform it— oh wait wait

Now to the main point, I'm honestly both excited and kinda nervous. I'm excited bc yay, new group music next year! I'm anxious because, reason no.1, I can't for the life of me guess which genre will dominate the new album. Looking at the current trends, light pop and hip hop should be out of question. Not because they as genres are dead right now, but because they're not the sound most people seem to be seeking from bts right now.

Which brings me to reason no.2: House of Cards, BS&T, and Pied Piper are currently the most trending bts songs in Tiktok (most listened in my spotify as well along with Home lol), however from the conversation above none of them except namjoon even knew that HoC is super popular. Each of these three songs blend quite a variety of genres, but there's one genre in common between them: RnB. If bts ever drop an excellent RnB dominated album, I'm officially dying from joy and then reviving for the same reason.

These were my thoughts, what's about yours?
